Where to find lawn mower recall notices

If you want to check to see if your lawn mower has been recalled, visit the US Consumer Product Safety Commission website.  Recalls for products are listed in reverse chronological order, so the most recent recalls are listed first.  This site lists recalls for many different products, not just mowers and tractors, so you can either glance through the list or search it using your browser's search function (<CTRL> + <F> in most browsers) for words like "mower" or "tractor" or for your mower's make or model.  Some recent mower recalls include:

- Exmark Quest ZRT Riding Mower (5/2/12)
- Cub Cadet, MTD Gold, and Troy-Bilt lawn tractors with certain Hydro-Gear transaxles (3/13/12)
- Ariens mowers with Blount blades (1/25/12)
- John Deere tractors with Kawasaki engines (9/16/11)

Many manufacturers also list recall notices on their own websites.  Here are links to some engine and mower manufacturers' recall pages:

- Black & Decker
- Briggs & Stratton
- Cub Cadet
- Honda
- John Deere
- Kawasaki
- MTD
- Toro
- Troy-Bilt
